Implantation Spotting

We've been trying to conceive and have been timing intercourse around my ovulation. I'm not due to start my period for another 7 days, but I've been noticing a slight amount of spotting, often more of a brownish tint that pink. I've read that some women experience spotting at the time that the embryo is implanting in the uterus, but I'm not sure if it's too early for me to experience impantation spotting. It started 19 days after my LMP, which is 4-5 days after I ovulated. Anyone have any advice? Thanks.

I don't know Carly, but the exact same thing is happening to me. I've never had spotting like this in the middle of my cycle unless I've been on the Depo shot. I wish I knew what was going on too! I'm only on day 17, but I know I tend to ovulate earlier in my cycle than most. I'd love to know your outcome! I'm hoping for the best! I have 2 healthy children and am trying to conceive my 3rd and last. This has never happened before. Hope all is well with you!

It has been 8 days after my ovulation and I had a slight brownish spotting today, then no more blood. I've read that with some women, you have slight cramping, which I also have. Implantation spotting happens 2-14 days from ovulation. I guess the missed period will tell....

Any updates from anyone yet? I'm still IMPATIENTLY waiting to see if I'm going to start my period. My spotting lasted 4 days and included some cramping. My cycle is like clockwork, so I can't figure out what is going on! Still hoping!

Gals, I am in the same boat as all of you. My period is not due until the 27th and I've never have ANY spotting during mid-cyle. I was hoping to know if anyone knew if this implantation spotting.

Add me to the list! 2 days after ovulation and I'm spotting. Doing research on the web to see what it can mean (other than implantation).

I am in the same situation as all of you. My period is due on the 27th (exactly 28 day cycle) and I began spotting on the 24th...this is worrying me because there is no way i should be having any kind of spotting happening three days before my period is due...I sure hope that I am pregnant. This is our 3rd month trying. good luck everybody!!!!

I'm in the same situation. It is four days before my period and I am spotting. (Unlike you all, however, I really do not want to be pregnant right now, which is why I am doing this research).

I had spotting 8 days after ovulation, accompanied by sharp pains in my low abdomen. We've been TTC for 2 years, so of course I was excited by this. But unfortunately, today I have my period, full force. I was really hoping the spotting was "implantation spotting". This shows I shouldn't get my hopes up until AFTER a missed period. Good luck to everbody else because I swear this ttc stuff can consume your life!

Carly you indeed can experience spotting the same day that you have ahd implantation. I suggest you have a blood serum test done and request from your gyn a manual pap. The doctor by feeling your cervix and uterus can tell if there is a change in thickness or of the sort in the cervix and uterus. This is defenitely a sign. Go to the doc and hava it checked out as soon as you can. When I had my son I had brownish spotting the same day of conceiving. Take a chance and go see hte doc. Good Luck..

im not due on for another week and a half and ive been having light spotting what does this mean?

Implantation into the Uterus Approximately 8 days after ovulation, if pregnant, the blastocyst (as the baby is cla__sified at this stage) begins to secrete a hormone that enables it to burrow into the lining of the uterus. Implantation usually happens in the upper one-third of the uterus and placenta will then begin to form. Implantation Spotting If you experience light bleeding or spotting at or around your predicted Implantation Day or when you would normally expect your period, this could be Implantation Spotting. This often occurs as the egg burrows into the endometrial lining, and is a normal occurence. I am bleeding 4 days before my period. I am wondering if this is my early period or spotting. I'm still nauseous and exhausted.

I had a the same thing happen. I was pregnant. If you want to know for sure quickly, have a blood test done at your doctor's office or a clinic. Blood tests can tell if you're pregnant before you miss a period. The suspense was killing me, so that's what I did. It only took a few hours to get the results. Good luck!

ok, well that's weird because i don't remember spotting before i found out i was pregnant with my daughter...maybe i over looked it. but i did have the feeling of my period coming, which caused me to keep running to the bathroom every 10 minutes. i currently suspect that i may be pregnant with all the signs of tenderness, headaches/dizziness, cramping, disharge, and sleepiness, even hungrier than usual. but no spotting. maybe it's just me.

I spotted for 4 days. I had no idea what was happening. I read on the net that it was implantaion. I got a pt that had a VERY faint line. What does this mean?

I am in the same boat, I am due for my period the 11th and am like clock work, never early. I have spotted for 3 days, pink. I do not want to be pregnant and am confused between implantation or a possible late ovulation? Anyone know?
