Worrying about a late period may only delay it. How many times have we all heard (spread?) this myth? The reason it's not true is that stress does not delay one's menstrual period; it can only delay ovulation. Once ovulation has occurred, the woman's body has already determined when she will menstruate. In other words, the time from ovulation to menstruation is a finite period of time that does not vary from cycle to cycle. But stress can delay your ovulation if you worry before the egg is released, which in turn can delay your period.

Yes I did & it was very helpful. So does anybody know why relaxing have a lot to do with concieving. Is it because of the stress could prevent conception or the stress could mess with your egg? Just curious

the stress just messes with the timing of the egg, i guess with the help of hormones

i feel this thoery is true in both the male and female cases. ovulation and sperm production see,s to be closely related to stress factor. i have been reading many posts in this site where women who have been ttc for a long tim , just take some time off and forget about ttc, ovulation and af, and lo, they get pregnant. Even my doc tells me to keep away from stress.
