I'm about a week late, my boobs feel like ive got bricks tied to them and my nipples have never been so sore in all my life. My stomach seems to have expanded overnight and I thought I was having period cramps but it feels more like butterflies in there. I normally eat quite abit and is unusual for me not to, has anyone else experienced loss of appetite?

Lorna - September 2nd, 2005 5:05 PM

Yep. I'm 5 weeks and i have almost no appetitte. i have to remind myself to eat and this has NEVER been a problem. it looks like from my research that this does happen in some pregnant women. i have that butterflies feeling too - it's like a concentration of energy in my abdomen.

dayra - September 9th, 2005 10:57 PM

omg i am feeling the same thing too, butterflies in my abdomen area, loss of appetitte and some thing on my throat, and of course my breats are killing me and can't sleep at night, for my surprise i went today 9/9/5 to have a check up and I AM PREGNANT

Darla - September 10th, 2005 12:10 AM

Hi, dayra, your symptoms sound so much like mine but I've yet to test + on an HPT. How far along are you? It's weird because I have a loss of appetite, my breasts and nipples are sooo sore, I can't sleep at night even though I'm very sleepy and a lot of times when I try and swallow it feels like my throat is swollen and won't let things go down good, even my saliva. Is that how yours feels? I wasn't sure that's a symptom, but maybe it is. Best wishes to you!!

S&J - September 10th, 2005 2:03 AM

I am going to test tomorrow but I have had this weird throat thing too. I just thought I was crazy. I have had breast tenderness that comes and goes, but they feel bigger and heavy. Anyone have that...tenderness that comes and goes and they ARE pregnant. I would just love a BFP. We have been trying for a year with 2 m/c and 2 chemical pregnancies. This would be a wonderful birthday present for me. Good luck to you all!! BABY DUST!!!

dayra - September 10th, 2005 11:09 PM

Hello Darla, well let me tell you girl i should be about 2 weeks right now!!! this would be my first baby, i'm still on shock, i can't believe it, i bought sooo many pregnancy tests, even the digital one just to make sure that i was pregnant. I'm still on denial, im just going to wait until monday to see the blood results eventhough that all 4 pregnancy tests came out positive (+), but i knew since the first day that i got pregnant. Right now my sympstoms still the same, a lot of going in the bathroom and a little bit of urine, whenever i feel like i have to go to the bathroom, i think that im about to explode, and nothing!! it feels like there is something ontop of my bladder and trying to push down my urine. my breasts are killing me specially the right one, i think they have a fever because they are sooo hot and they are going to explode. My lips are getting dried very often, Im feeling abdominal cramps like pinching me and stretching me, hopefully that pain goes away thats the only symptom that scares me, i hope that there are no complications, but im going to my GYN on monday. I've been feeling like the samething on my throat and my food doesnt go down, thats why i keep on burping and then if then sometimes i just vomit the food. I've been very sleepy on the day time, BUT i don't sleep at night time, its driving me crazy!!! well keep in touch and let me know how you are feeling every day! good luck, love Dayra

Dayra - September 11th, 2005 9:32 PM

I'm about 2 weeks, i keep on feeling pain on my pelvis area, im not sure, but it doesnt feel good! i'm really nervous, im just waiting for monday to come, so that i could get an apt. as soon as possible with my GYN. Is is normal to have pelvic pain? it comes back and forth along with the urination..

Olivene - September 11th, 2005 11:45 PM

I am experiencing this, too. I'm eating some but I just don't want my usual stuff. I look in the fridge and think "no, no...no, yuck." and close it again without getting anything. I have the abdmonial cramps, began 6 or 7 days past O, I think. I think it sounds good for everyone! Baby dust!

Darla - September 12th, 2005 2:22 AM

Hi everyone. Dayra, with my son (he's 4 yrs) I cramped and had the pulling/stretching/achy feelings pretty bad. My OB told me that I was pretty small inside (I'm the same now as then 5'2 - 150lbs) and everything was just stretching and making room for my baby really early. He was right, I had no problems and my son was 8lbs 12oz. So, I'd say those feelings are more than likely normal but I'd still get cked out. With you needing to go to the bathroom so much and then only a little coming out and then with some pain, THAT sounds like it could be a UTI(urinary tract infection) which is common in pg. Just let your Dr. know about all your feelings, I'm sure everything will be ok. Ok...Update on me. Well, I'm still pretty much the same, except for my boobs being MORE sore and having a stomach that as of tonight won't suck in at the bottom, if that makes any sense, super constipated so my stomach is really bloated and being queasy on and off the past 2-3 days. I am now 3 wks and 1 day late for AF and all BFN HPT's. I really don't think I'm bringing the symptoms on myself because we weren't really "trying", we just weren't preventing as we haven't for 3 1/2 yrs. I would so LOVE to be pg. but am really confused by all the BFN's. Anyway, I guess time will tell! Best of Luck to everyone!!!!!

dayra - September 13th, 2005 9:35 PM

Hey everyone, darla, guess what??? remember that i was on denial with the pregnancy tests?? well my blood test came out POSITIVE(+), i didn't know if i was happy or excited or what!!! don't know, now i really know how the news really get you when you know for sure that you are pregnant. Well, I'm going to start eating healthy and taking care of myself and the coming baby. All my symptoms are really starting to kick in, so early!!!!! uh, seems like this baby is going to be a baseball player or football player. Well darla i am as short as you are, i am actually shorter 5' 0 and weight 118 pounds. I am very glad that my regular doctor told me that i am very healthy, that the blood test came out with perfect scores, so hopefully i'll have a very healthy baby. Sometimes i don't feel pregnant and i forget. I work at a radiologist's office, so you can imagine that there is a lot of radiation going on which is bad for the baby and sometimes i need to work arround that area, but i guess i'm going to have to tell my boss, so that i don't have to visit those areas. Well, on the 21st i already made an apt. with my GYN, i don't know what we are going to talk about since this is sooo new for me, i still can't believe that i am pregnant, i am 23 years old and very tiny i cannot imagine how this big belly is going to change my body, oh well, i guess everything will be okay. I still want to know what the gyn is going to tell me, im sure they are not able to see the baby yet!!!, but im so curious, my husband is going to go with me to the first visit. I hope that everything its ok. Well good luck to everyone, and lets all be happy for each other, bye bye, dayra

I am my 6th week. Earlier I too had no appetite plus that butterflies feeling in the stomach, both before and after food.

Here's the trick I use to reduce that butterflies feeling:Every meal I'll begin with fruit(grapes) and then a slice of cream cracker plus half a glass of glucose drink(not too concentrated), rest for a while then the main course. It helps in keeping my blood sugar level and maintaining my appetite.

Even middle of the night when I have to got up to relieve my bladder, I just took a slice of cream cracker and have some glucose drink before going back to bed again.

Always have some cream crackers with me. When I am a little hungry, I will eat one or half a cracker and drink some water. It helps to reduce gassy stomach. I hope it works for you all too.

Darla - September 13th, 2005 11:50 PM

CONGRATULATIONS Dayra!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you!! All your signs point to a picture perfect 9 Months!! Enjoy it!! My appetite has picked up some, I really wanted Mexican food tonight so we (me, my dh and ds) went to an awesome little place here in town and I really enjoyed myself although it seems I filled up fast. Even though I still don't know anymore as to whether I am pg or not, my breasts are so sore I can't stand NOT to wear a bra unless I'm sitting or laying down. I don't know what the deal is with that. I'll be waiting until next week and see what AF does. I'll go from there I guess. Hopefully if it does show up, it will be normal and get rid of a lot of these symptoms, if not, hopefully by then I'll have a BFP or I'll be going in for an US. Anyway, Best of Luck to everyone and Dayra, take care of yourself!!

Diann - September 20th, 2005 9:17 AM

I am 5 weeks along and I thought something was wrong with me...I never want to eat. It scares me! I have to remind myself to eat often also. I sometimes feel like I am not pregnant. I hope this is a normal feeling!?!

Darla - September 20th, 2005 3:40 PM

Hi Dayra and all - Well, I started a very light, watery Af this morning. I am waiting to see if it will turn into a normal AF or not. I tell you what, our bodies can definetely confuse us. I could have swore 100% I was pg based on the pg symptoms I had when pg with my son, but who knows, maybe not. If the spotting I had in Aug. was AF then that would have made a 35 day cycle and this one a 28. I've never had that long or short of one before. Strange hunh? My boobs have felt better today though although my nipples are still sensitive. No cramps or anything to worn me about the spotting today like last time. Crazy. Well, I'm so glad you are doing good Dayra. Hang in there, most of the time the breast soreness goes away after the first little while, Just take care of yourself. Best wishes to all of you and I'll post if anything different happeneds.
