Is My Girlfriend Lying To Me

My girlfriend went to the ER the other day because of some kind of pain she was having. She said they did a pg. blood test and it came back positive. They said she was about 1 week pregnant on Monday (conceived on the 4 or 5th). Now shes having morning sickness and peeing all of the time. Can you have these symptoms this early, or is she farther along than she is telling me.

either she is further along or.....she is lying altogether did you see paperwork on this positive blood test. One week yeah i don't think so unless it was some miracle blood test!!!!

I've had symptoms that early in my pregnancy that early, not to mention sore b___sts and moodiness. Everyone is a little different with there symptoms, but I would say she was telling you the truth about only being 1 week pregnant.

symptoms yessss you can get early but a positive blood test no way there is not a doctor in the country that has ever said : Congratulations you 1 week pregnant!!!! oh brother I am not saying she is a flat out liar all I am saying that maybe everything she is saying is not exactly the truth.(or is there some reason she would say such a wopper to keep you around?)

Yes, she showed me the bloodwork results. They said she had an HCG count of (the dr. said the norm. was 5 or less) 7. Yesterday I went with her to the ob/gyn, and he did bloodwork, but the results wouldn't come until today. He said that after 7 days when the baby attaches the HCG would start to go up. I just worry because we haven't been together too long.

when you are one week pregnant you just ended your period and have not even conceived yet....you are actually two weeks pregnant when you conceive and three weeks pregnant when implantation occurs....you cannot possibly know your pregnant until this point in the pregnancy....she is either lying or confused about the dates....find out when her last period was and then try to calculate it yourself!

worried - April 12

She said her last period was on March 21, 2005.

she would be in her 3rd week (1 week since implantation) maybe that solves the confusion....check out this site....http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/pregnancycalendar/l/blpregcalc.htm

Thanks Rose, that did help. I feel somewhat better. But can the doctor still have found the positive pg. blood test though that early and for her to have symptoms already?

rose - April 12

yes at 3 weeks it is possible to have some symptoms and for the blood test to pick it up! congratulations, it looks like your gonna be a a dad!

Thank you everyone, especially rose, so much for all of your help. I feel SOOOO relieved. Now I'm excited and I guess I owe my girlfriend an apology for telling her that she lied to me.

Best you do - you should've given her the benefit of the doubt before you said that? Congratulations to you - really - and I hope that all works out well for both of you and for your baby. All the best.

I was just really worried. We met a month ago, but just started our s_xual relationship on April 1st. I know pulling-out isn't a guarantee birth control, but I did pull-out. Not to forget that we've only had s_x 4 times since then.

its normal to be worried...i hope your girlfriend understands! you did the right thing to come here and find out for yourself...im glad to see your excited and good luck to you

Remember, I was confused on this at first too, but you can't be one week pregant and know it. Your first week of pregancy is actually started the first day of your last period. Then, ovuatlion / conception occurs about 14-16 days later and you wouldn't know you were pregnany until you are about 5 weeks at the earliest. She is confuse on the dates or she is lieing to you
