Is Temperature A Sign

I was wondering if anyone knows if a temperature of 99F is a sign of pregnancy or AF either one? Not BBT, just a temp. taken in the afternoon or evening? I am due for AF tomorrow, but I take my temp. daily (not bbt) and always it is normal, but the last 4 days it has been between 99.1 and 99.5. Any answers?

Hey Vikki, I take my temps in the evening from O to AF too, along with my bbt upon wakeup...just purely for curiousity's sake and a little experimentation on my part.....but my nightly temps are btw 99 to 100 during the luteal phase. And I noticed when I have sore b___bs, its the time my temp is the highest. Something about progesterone and its temperature raising effects, I think.....if anyone else could clarify that, I would really like to know. So, I think the 99's during the day and evening is normal during the luteal phase....but, if you have it past your normal luteal phase, I think its worth checking up on with an hpt!!

Well thank you very much for your reply little jeanie. I just keep finding all kinds of crazy things to think about now don't I? But I am just traying to get a sense about what is normal for my body so that when anything really out of the ordinary occurs I can say "Hey, thas something totally new for me." Since I have never done the temp thing and am getting ready to start charting next cycle I want to be up to speed on a thing or two. It is really funny how you experiment too! I have so much fun chatting with you. You just put the smile right back into my heart!

LOL! Little jeanie! How very sweet! I know though about finding new things every cycle...my body has done something new every cycle since I came off B/C. Now, when I get the sore b___bs or cramping or backache, I know its normal for me during the luteal phase. Like I tolf the gals on Lambs thread....I will have to wake up with my head in the toilet, my b___bs 5 sizes bigger and on fire, and be able to smell what the neighbors are cooking before I will believe I am pg......LOL!

Hi Catsgirl; definitley a sign. There is a good site called twoweek.com and lots of pregnant women say their temp was a lot higher after conception for a few weeks. Last month I was pregnant, but unfortunately miscarried, and my temperature was over 99 every day, which is not normal for me, even in the luteal stage. High every morning till night. I don't temp so the only reason I thought to take my temp was because I felt so incredibly cold all the time, which I don't feel for two weeks out of every month. I think it is normal to have a slight temp in the luteal phase, but not a degree and a half. Good luck!

Also definitely NOT a sign. It really could go either way. My daytime temps have been around 99.4 during the luteal phase, and so far I haven't been pregnant.
