Light Late Period Or Implantation Bleeding

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some questions answered. I have been doing a lot of research on other sites and haven't really been able to find anything about this. I was supposed to get my period on 4/7 and ended up getting what I thought was it on 4/10. However, it was VERY light, much lighter than I've had in the past. It was normal in color, but not in terms of volume. It lasted 3 days without ever getting heavy. Yesterday (4/12) I took a urine pregnancy test at the doctor, and it came back negative. I don't know if it's negative because I'm not pregnant or if it was just too soon to tell. My situation is a little weird because I haven't actually had intercourse, but have fooled around externally and am worried that somehow the sperm may have made its way in. I have never had a period this light before, but everything I've read about implantation bleeding says it normally happens before your expected period and that it should be brown or light pink in color. My question is if anyone else has experienced this and if so if it has resulted in pregnancy. If you could let me know, I would really appreciate it because I am freaking out even with the negative pregnancy test. Thanks in advance.

Getting pregnant from outercourse is not impossible. Your research on implantation spotting is correct, but in addition a woman may get a light bleed at period time during the first trimester. If you have other early signs of pregnancy (fatigue, lotion discharge, peeing more, appet_te and smell changes, lightheaded moments, b___b or nip changes, upset gut, hot flashes, vivid dreams, acne, runny nose, backache) then you should not consider yourself out of danger until you are getting negative tests when 2 weeks late. GL!
