Luteal Phase After Birth Control

I've already asked this in the general pregnancy section, but I only realized afterward that this section would probably be a more appropriate place. So if you already read it, then sorry for the repeat. Anway-----So naturally I've been reading up a lot on everything I need to know about ttc. From what I've read, the luteal phase is supposed to be constant. Can anyone tell me for sure if this is an absolute, or is it possible for it to be different after going off birth control? I ask, because I'm pretty sure that I know when I ovulated, based on the cm, and I just went off birth control last month. If I did ovulate, then I should definitely have a period this month, right? If one ovulates, then menstruation must follow. Or is this not true? I want to be sure whether or not I can expect my luteal phase to be the same next month assuming I can determine it this month and, in addition, I'm trying to sort out when to expect AF. So if the luteal phase is definitely constant, then I'd think I should be able to approximate AF's arrival based on my ovulation date.
