Luteal Phase To Grandpa Viv And All

I was just thinking. They say that your luteal phase is generally the same amount of time between ovulation and af. So why, when I always ovulate on cd16, does my luteal phase vary?? I´ve been temping the last 4 cycles and each time, my period has been coming sooner. My cycles are not super-regular but with the luteal phase information i would assume then that my ovulation dates change. but They dont. What does everyone think????

I had heard/read that as well- that luteal phase should be the same However, mine changed as well. I thought it was just b/c I was coming off of a m/c. My first cycle was 40 days- LP-10, My 2nd cycle was 36 days, LP of 14 days. This time I am still waiting cd22, and no sign which means I will be long again. it's crazy!!! I have read that when temping they say it's b/c we aren't temping correctly, but I know I am doing the same thing every day!

Crazy isn't it? Try tracking your cycles on mymonthlycycles.com. If you have info from prior months, you can go back and enter it. This site will tell you when to expect your period, ovulation, as well as the length of your lutel phase, based on the information you provide. My periods were all over the place. Some months they were 39 days apart and heavy, other months they would be 21 days and light. This site really helped me. Good luck. :o)
