Your luteal phase is the time between ovulation & your period. If you O on cd14 & your period comes on cd28 your luteal phast would be 14 days.

This is the time that the egg needs for implantation after fertilization, which can take from 2-14 days. sometimes when this stage is too short, you can be pregnant but just didn't have time to diagnose it because the luteal phase wasn't long enough so it is expelled during the period. I was Nursing my son while ttc, and it took a few months for my luteal phase to become long enough for a good chance of conception. Usually, if a woman is consistant with short phases, 5-10 days, your doctor gave give you meds, or you can google for natural ways. oh, it is the phase after you O. Hope this helps!!
