Male Fertility Question

Has anyone heard of Allopurinol (antigout medicine) causing low sperm count? I just read that somewhere and now I am freaking out because my husband has been taking it for about 3-4 months. (he is also 46 yrs old) we've only been trying for 2 months but i am wondering if we should have his sperm count taken before we continue trying....

ROCK I have been dealing with male Factor infertility for 3 years and low sperm count/abnormal sperm are the problem. I would reasearch his meds alittle more before worrying too much. FYI it takes 3 months for sperm to completely regenerate themselves. So if he stops taking his meds because of low sperm count it will take 3 months for his sperm count to go back to normal. Hope that helps a little, Krysta
