Okay my husband claims that I am not pregnant because he has been around quite a few pregnant woman when he was younger (in college he had a lot of girls he was friends with) and he said there voices change and they have a certain smell to them, is this true? I have had one child before and I never notices any thing like that or heard of anything like that. any truth to this, or is he just full of it. ha ha.

Anything is possible but I would not take your husband's claim as fact. If you want to be sure you are pregnant, take a home test or have a blood test done for hCG.

well its still to early to tell. we had a slip up about 10 days ago, and I just have this "feeling" that I am, but he says no. My period is not due for 4-6 more days. I just have had the "bladder infection" feeling but with out the fowl smelling urine and it doesnt' burn to pee. I just feel pressure down there, and last night i laid tummy down, and my b___bs HURT! And i got up 3 times to pee. uggg I have taken a test but again I think its to early to test. our slip up was Nov. 12 and its now the 22. so? your guess is as good as mine.

I have never heard anything of the sort. I have had 2 full term pregnancies and I had no voice change or "smell". It kindof sounds like he's wishful thinking. Could that be the case? Also, it may very well be too early for a hpt to detect the hormone hcg. If you miss your period, test again. And even then, if it comes up negative, keep testing. It took me nearly 2 weeks after my missed period to show a positive when I was pregnant with my son, and with another pregnancy of mine, it took over a week after my missed period to show positive. Just keep testing, or if you want to know now, go get a quant_tative blood test done. It will show how much, if any, hcg you have in your system.

Thanks, I didn't think my voice changed either or that i smelled different. But he said I wouldn't notice it myself. I think he's just saying that to be onry. He also thinks if I dwell on it to much and keep thinking I am, I will. (yeah okay I am going to make myself pregnant, ha ha) Don't get me wrong he said he would be very happy, i think he doesn't want me to get all in a frenzy.
