Negative Home Test Then Positive

I have a question. I took a home test this AM. At first (within first 15-30 seconds) it was negative. I left it on the bathroom counter and came back to it about 30 minutes later and there was a second line (positive). Is this positive or possible or should I consider the original negative answer?

WELL I have read alot about the hpt even with the early answer ones and they say to give all the test at least 10 mins or more because some of them did not pick up hcg that quick. and by letting them sit helped. I have read this by looking for whats the best pregnancy test to take, and what time of day. ASLO TAKING IN THE AFTERNOON MIGHT BE BETTER. I KNOW FOR ME IT IS. I found that out by getting a postive more in the afternoon then in morning. SO I DISAGREE ABOUT FIRST PEE IN THE MORNING! I think getting active not drinking nothing for awhile and then take a test you have a better chance!? NOW THIS IS ONLY MY ADVICE. hope I have helped?

Milissa - Thanks so much for your advice...I really appreciate it! I got confused because on the insert paper from the hpt it said that positive test results could be read up to 48 hours but negative results should not be read after 20 mins. Since I left the test for a while and when I came back saw a very faint positive sign, I wasn't sure if it was "valid" or not. I bought another brand of test this morning (EPT) and will test again tomorrow. I will try in the AM when I wake up and in the afternoon again as you suggested. Your advice DID help...thanks! I'll keep you posted! :)
