Negative HPT S But No AF For 47 Days

Since being off BC, the longest time betwen AF's has been 43 days. I'm confused cuz I had a +OPK on Feb. 12th. Wasn't I supposed to get AF 14 days later? I have taken 5 HPT and all have been negative. Does anyone have any advice?

I am kind of in the same boat. I have gone from a 34 day to a 41 day to a 44 day cycle. LMP was 1/28 and I did a opk on 2/18 and it was a positive surge. BD on 2/14, 2/18, 2/19, and 2/21. If I surged on 2/18 wouldn't that mean I am back on a 34 day cycle? WHo knows. I also took a blood test at my obgyn on the 3/3. Got results on 3/7 (she said that HCG was not at 5, but was not low enought to rule out. Basically come in if AF doesn't show up and re-test). If I am back at 44 days that would mean I would get af of Sunday. I took a peetest on 3/8 and it was neg. I say wait a week after you should get AF and test again. As fustrating as it is, you need to know. If you don't get your period after waiting an extra week than go see the doctor. This is what I plan on doing. Last year I went 54 days without my period. It was terrible. I was overseas and I thought I was pg. The day I called the doctor to make the appointment, I got my period. It sucks going through all this, but know your not alone.

thanks, pam. i'm trying to be patient, but i end up taking HPT's every other day :) i will test again next week, but the problem is i have no idea when i should expect AF, so i don't know when exactly would be a week later. i miscarried on dec. 20 (last year) and had to have d&c. i wonder if this has something to do with the crazy cycle. my dr. suggested i wait for one normal period before ttc, which did happen in january. i'm getting antsy. so you expect AF sunday? do you have any symptoms?

I have had some symptoms, but the symptoms are so close to PMS I am unsure. I have had some back ache, dizziness, b___st pain (bad pain), bloating, I haven't had any discharge, but the other day I went for my morning pee and had a very large clump of white discharge. I have had a head ache for 3 days now. I have had some cramping, and gas, it's so hard to disguish what is what (pg or pms). How are you doing?

i could't resist taking another HPT this morning, still neg. i can't tell if i'm about to get sick (flu) or if they're pg symptoms. i have been feeling very tired even with a good night's sleep. last nite i even yawned throughout my entire kickboxing session! i've been having more frequent headaches and have been very hungry, but as soon as i eat, i get extremely bloated. b___bs feel a little weird, not too bad. i've been having slight cramps but not really pms-like. about 2 weeks after my +OPK, i too had large amount of stretchy cm. i didn't think you should get this right before you expect AF? how long have you been ttc?

I have been trying since dec. I have wanted to try since last year and just recently got my dh on board. How about you?

i got off bc last aug. my dh and i wanted to just go with the flow, and i got pg after 3 periods, but unfortunately miscarried. i am anxious to get pg again. if i don't get AF by next week, it will be over 50 days since last AF. i don't know if i want to set myself up for disappointment by going to see dr. or just wait it out. do you also agree that you should get AF 14 days after you ovulate? my dr said that was true even with irregular cycles.

Pam - March 11

I agree you should get af after 14 days. However sometimes I think our bodies just don't want to coorperate with us. What ever the reason may be. I think you should go to the doctor after 50 days only because you'll have piece of mind. sometimes I wish I would rather hear just a negative and get my af so I can start all over again than here a negative and wonder what in the name happened to my af. You know what I mean.

exactly, the sooner i get a "positive" negative, the sooner i can start trying again. i usually get crampiness a day or so before AF, so if i don't get this next week, it looks like i'll be going to the doc.
