Have you tried to join Fertility Friend? (fertilityfriend.com)you can join for free, all you do is put in your temps and it charts it for you..And you are doing very good as far as taking it before you get out of bed, try to do it at the same time every morning also(if you aren't already)good luck

THANKS STACI......IVE ACTUALLY STARTED MY BBT CHARTING WITH FERTILITY FRIEND.COM BUT IM STILL PRETTY CONFUSED.....SORRY! IT SEEMS AS THOUGH MY TEMPS ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE AND FOR THE PAST 2 DAYS ITS BEEN AT THE SAME TEMP. IM JUST A LIL CONFUSED....THINKING IM DOING IT WRONG. BUT LIKE I SAID I TAKE MY TEMPS EVERY MORNING BEFORE I GET OUT OF BED AND YES IT IS AROUND THE SAME TIME EVERY MORNING.

Mine are almost always all over the place for the first week or so of my cycle. Just expect to be confused until the end of your cycle, and then it will be clearer once you've completed a whole one. You should be able to recognize the temp rise after ovulation when you see it. My temp always keeps rising after O until a few days before or the day of af, when it drops. During af, my temps will hover just above the coverline, and then they'll drop after about 5 days or so. Take a look through the chart gallery to get a feel for what different charts look like. You can have a little looksy at mine here if you want: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/lin

THANKS LIN......IVE BEEN LOOKING AT SOME OF THE CHARTS IN THE GALLERY AND TRYING TO GET SOME CLUES. WHAT IS A COVERLINE? IS THERE ANY WAY POSSIBLE THAT YOU CAN TAKE A LOOK AT MINE AND TELL ME IF IT LOOKS LIKE IM DOING IT RIGHT?

Lin - May 10

The coverline is a horizontal line drawn 1/10 of a degree F above the highest of the six temperatures immediately preceeding ovulation. Fertility Friend will determine this for you. If your temps fluctuate a lot at that time and/or ovulation is not obvious, the line will be dashed and should be viewed as an estimate. The day after ovulation, your temperature will rise above the coverline. If you want to share your chart, you'll have to set up a home page. From your charting page, on the left hand side, click on Sharing --> Home Page Setup, and it should be pretty self-explanatory from there. You can change the url if you want so that it's easier to remember - as you can see I did above, where I changed the final directory to "lin." Once you get to the point where you can view your home page, just cut and paste the url here. Have fun!

dream, mine are also all over the place before O(i was on clomid also so that may be why), here is my chart http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/c5a49 but then you can see on cd 18 my temp went up .7- (so my O date would be cd17) and then .3 ....it is pretty confusing when you 1st start out, but you will get the hang of it..once ff has detected O you will look at it and say "oh! ok i kinda get it now!" i know, i prob. confused you even more! i'm sorry!

wow you have a long period! your chart doesn't seem to be that bad though, but it is probably like that because you were on your period..how long are you cycles?

dreamnasia1 - May 10

yeah thats the thing my period always been irregular since as long as i can remember. i dont know how long my cycles are but im guessing they vary from month to month. previous to this period i havent had a period for 2 months. so thats why i am guessing my period has been going on for this long.

staci - May 10

oh ok! good thing you started temping then so you can see if you are even ovulating(i'm guessing you haven't been by when your last cycle was)..you should print your chart out and keep them then after about 3months of charting go see your dr if it doesn't seem like you are Oing and take those with you, it will give him/her a good idea of what's going on...

THANKS FOR THE IDEA. THATS WHAT IM GOING TO DO. WOULD THERE BE ANY REASONS TO WHY MY TEMPS WOULD BE SO LOW RANGING FROM THE LOWEST 95.9 - 97.1???? IVE BEEN LOOKING AT ALOT OF CHARTS AND I FEEL LIKE MY TEMPS ARE JUST SO LOW.

Lin - May 10

Your temps are very low, and that is actually indicative of hypothyroidism. Have you ever been diagnosed with it? If not, you may want to ask your doctor about it at your next visit.

dreamnasia1 - May 10

NO I HAVE NEVER BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH THAT. I STARTED CHARTING TO SEE IF I WAS OVULATING BECAUSE I DO WANT TO BECOME PREGNANT AGAIN. I HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD. BUT CAN THAT BE THE REASON AS TO WHY I HAVE IRREGULAR PERIODS?

staci - May 10

Oh my gosh, i am so bad! 95.9 was your lowest temp? I need new contacts because i swore it was in the higher 96 range! I think it wouldn't hurt for you to go ahead and call your dr. and tell them you've been temping and tell them how low it is and that you feel like you need to be seen..be sure to tell them that or they may shrug you off..let us know what they say if you do call...again i am so sorry i missed that! good thing i have an appt this week to go get my eyes checked! Lin my lowest temp is 96.7(hasn't gone below that) do you think i might have a problem with that? i always thought mine were kind of low also..

dreamnasia1 - May 10

ITS OKAY STACI......IVE NEVER HEARD OF hypothyroidism.....WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS.?

Lin - May 11

You're funny Staci. I'm getting my eyes checked soon, too. ;-) I'm not sure what the limits are as far as temps and hypo/hyperthyroidism go. I think that it's a good idea to talk to a doctor about hypothyroidism if your follicular phase temps are in the 97.1 range or lower. That's an estimate on my part, so of course double check anything I tell you. It's always best to do your own research. Likewise, high follicular phase temps can indicate hyperthyroidism, so follicular phase temps in the low to mid 98s or higher should also be checked up on. Dreamnasia1 - do a Google search. There are lots of symptoms that can sometimes be very vague, which is why it's kind of hard to diagnose thyroid disorders. I've read that most tests aren't very conclusive and that your temps are as reliable if not more so than the standard tests. If I recall correctly, weight gain is a common symptom of hypothyroidism and weight loss for hyperthyroidism.
