No CBFM Peak Possible Ovulation

I am 31 y.o. and ttc my first. This is my first month using the Clearblue Monitor and I am on my 16cd with high fertility readings since day 7, but no peak. My CM at days 10 and 11 was more abundant and stretchy, and now it has become much more like lotion. I would like some opinions on whether the monitor may have missed my ovulation this cycle.

I use that same monitor for the last 5 months. When you start using the monitor, it "gets to know" your body and stores the information...so you may be getting high fertility this time for a longer time then next month (if you use it next month), when I started using it, I got high fertility for about 7 days then I got my two peak days (eggs). Now, I get three days of high fertility and two peak days. Keep in mind, once you get the peak days (two eggs) you can stop testing and wasting sticks. Also, sometimes if you have Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrom you may have excess amounts of LH in your urine throughout your cycle, which may cause you to have high fertility readings more often even when you are not. I noticed for myself, my temp spikes the day I get the peak (egg) and I never get egg white, I always get water, wet lotiony release instead...which according to my RE is fine. I hope this helps. (BTW, I was like you when i first used the darn thing and thought either I am never going to ovulate or this thing is broken...but sure enough, I got a peak on CD 19...so I found out the last few months I ovulate on CD 19 or CD 21....maybe you ovulate late too?

Also, there is a possibility that you may never get a peak if you are not actually ovulating. OR some women get the LH surge and Peak but actually don't release the egg. SOOO, I would suggest temping each morning to compliment the use of the monitor to see if it coincides...that was the only realy way I believed I was ovulating was when I get the temp rise...it has been consistent for 5 months now...so I know the monitor is working cuz my temps tell me so.

Thank you, great information. I think I am just being impatient :)

I never got a high my first month either so it isn't uncommon, and I know of a couple of others who didn't either. We have a group clearblue easy fertility monitor 2 under the "problems getting pregnant" section if you need people to talk to.

No prob...I know about being impatient...I'm really impatient...I've been trying to get pregnant for 8 months..broke down and now I am seeing a fertility specialist. I read some women on the forum trying to conceive for over a year, two years in some cases...I don't think I could go through this hardship for that long...I need answers! :) Good luck to you.
