hi every one as a new member of this family its really difficult for me to ask the right wording question so plz forgive if you dont understand.first i will explain my condition i had a miscarriage 21 days ago(12/26/06)and my bleeding stopped on 1/6/07,but my hcg is still high(14.1) and i think i am pregnant again.i had two questions. 1) i just heard that if a woman hcg is high she doesnt ovulate is it correct.if it is so the symptoms (sore &tender br___t,sleepless nights, sore throat, tiredness) i am feeling are aftereffects of miscarriage? 2)and if i am pregnant can the high hcg be harmful?

Sorry to hear about the miscarriage. How far along were you when you miscarried? The further along you are i believe the longer it takes to get out of your system. I am not sure about the HCG and ovulation but I think that sounds right, since you dont ovulate while you are pregnant. Also, hcg is produced by pregnancy and is no way harmful to your baby. I dont believe that you are pregnant again. I think that the HCG is just taking a little bit to get out of your system. I am not an expert though. 14 is pretty low even for a new pregnancy unless it has just begun. I would test in a couple of days and see where you are at.

Im sorry for your loss and when you have a HCG over 5 I believe it triggers your body to stop ovulating and starts preparing itself for the months ahead. When I had my m/c i still had preggers symptons and I called a RN and was told 4-6 weeks after a m/c you can experience pregnancy symptons even though your not. Cruel and unfair I know :/. if you are feeling deep down your preggers maybe go to the drs and get another HCG to see if your numbers went up or down, good luck and take care.
