Numbers Game 30 37

I used to think I was really late. My cycles are either 30 or 37 days. (never a number in between) Everytime I had a 37 day cycle I thought I was late. This month I am pretty sure I ovulated late (but am hopeful I caught it, temp changes and CM changes) Today I would be at CD 33. I think I ovulated 7 days ago, C26!! No wonder I haven't been getting a BFP. I would have about an 11 day luteal phase then for my 37 day cycles. I don't know why they are 30 or 37. (never anything in between) If any one has any ideas I would be very curious. My temps since ovulation have stayed 97.6, 97.6, 97.6, 97.7, 97.7, 97.7, 97.8

opps, my luteal phase would be about 15 days.

wow, very consistent temps! Sounds like you are just O'ing at totally different times each cycle, have you just gotten off of birth control or anything? You may want to call your ob/gyn and tell them how wacky your cycles are and they can give you a med (clomid is usually their 1st choice) to make you O regularly..My cycles were 27-37 days and i got put on clomid(on my 2nd monthof it) and have O'd on time each time! yay! anyway, i would call your dr..good luck!

I went to my dr. and got the persciption for clomid. But, it is very expensive ( about $300 dollars a month since she wants to do bloodwork each month) and dh hasn't gotten tested yet. I did have blood drawn and I was ovulating. So, if I am ovulating and can get better about pin pointing when, do you think I would really need clomid? I had not expected 37 day cycles to be long cycles, I just thought I was late. So I have never timed bding for so late in my cycle, only because we were trying so hard at the beginning, I get we poop out by the end.

It seems so weird that my cycles are only 30 or 37. ??I think the luteal length is probably the same.

Oh, sorry for so much info but dr. seemed hesitant to give me clomid since I was ovulating, but it has been just past a year of trying.

Maren, i was ovulating on my own also and my dr. didn't hesitate one bit to put me on clomid, but every dr. is different..I understand about it being to expensive, especailly with the blood work every cycle..mine isn't doing any tests until after my 4th try on clomid, thank goodness! because i like you would never be able to afford that! I think if you start temping and checking your cm and your cervical position you may be able to pin point when since your cycles are only 30 and 37...Go to fertilityfriend.com and get set up to start charting your temps, cm and cp, they should have all the info you need to get started..if not just goole bbt and ovulation and you will get nurmerous sites to go to..but def. use fertility friend to chart, it's free and great!

Maren, just a thought, can you ask your dr. if you can take it without doing all the tests for a while? The only thing my dr. is having me do is bbt's and then sending my chart in when my cycle starts over...It is better to have all the tests done while using clomid so the dr. knows how your body is responding, but i'm not sure how necessary it is since mine isn't doing it that way...anyway, just a though ; )

I can ask her, she just said she wanted me to come in for blood tests after ovulation every month. Last time I got blood tests the lab fee was about 275 and dr fees about 50. Yikes, and what if it wasn't necessary????

I'm on a thread called clomid club and all the women there are on or have been on clomid..some go in for testing every month and some don't..i just really think it depends on the dr. you have..wow, that was really expensive! It wouldn't hurt just to call and ask and make sure you ask any other Q's while your speaking with her or her nurse(helps to write them down 1st for me because i always get flabbergasted when i talk to them! ;) )good luck!
