If someone is pretty regular every month w/ a period withing a couple days or so does that mean ovulation is definitly occurring every month?

You would think so, but no, just because you get your period around the same time every month does not indicate that you are definitely ovulating. In order to verify this without medical attention you need to chart your basal body temperature. You can either google it or search it on this website. There are soooooooo many good explanations and "how tos". You can also use OPKs but they only indicate when ovulation is impending and not that it has actually happened. Many women get several ++ OPKs and go on to have annovulatory cycles (where you don't ovulate) so that is why temping is the only conlusive way to verify ovulation. Hope this helps.
