Oh No A New Worry For Me

i have scheduled an appointment to get a blood test done to test for pregnancy (i'm 18 and on my parents insurance) i know that my doctor co-pay is only $10 but i just read a QUANTITVE blood test is more expensive than the qualitive (i want the quant_tive). So should I be looking to pay more than my $10 co-pay for this test? I can't ask my parents because i wanted to get a confirmation of a pregnancy (or not) before we talked about it.

A co-pay is a flat fee and does not depend on the cost of the procedure. The doctor may not order a quant_tative because there is no medical justification for the extra expense. If you have missed a period by a week, why don't you spend $4 on a home test before getting fancy?
