OPK And EWCM

Ok I am on CD13 and should probably O tommorow. This is the first month using OPK this a.m I saw a very faint line. This p.m. I have crazy amounts of EWCM. So which should I go by?? Do you think I am still due to O tommorow? It seems that the line should have been darker if I was going ot O tommorow. What do you all think?

Go by the opk. The egg can't be released until the LH level is high enough. I personally only get ewcm about four days before O day and almost never the day of. You probably won't O tomorrow if the line is very faint. Chances are that it will start getting darker sometime in the next few days. You won't O until 12-28 hours after you get a positive opk. How long are your cycles usually?

I just thought I'd add that, once you see that line start to get darker, you're best off testing twice per day. It's really easy to miss your peak. I did last month, and I was testing twice per day! Anyway, if you never do get a positive but do get lines *almost* as dark as the test line followed by lighter ones, then you're probably safe a__suming that you would have gotten a positive somewhere after the darkest line. Good luck! Happy opk-ing!

Thanks Lin for the advice. My cycles vary from 25-27 lately 27 days.

Hm. It could be that this month is a 27 day cycle, and you've got a 12 day luteal phase. That would mean you'd O in a couple days. Who knows, maybe it'll even be a longer cycle than usual. Good luck with it! Is this your first month using opks?
