Okay, so my ovulation test just came out positive. Does that mean I've already ovulated, in the middle of the ovulation process or am about to start the ovulation process??? I just quit birth control one month ago, is it normal for me to begin ovulating this soon??!!! Please help!

Hi there, did you pee on stick or strip? If so, it means that your ovulation will occur 24-36 hours from now. And yes, it is normal for you to ovulate one month after stopping bc. Good luck!

i peed in a cup and dipped it in... does that make a difference???? I don't know jack s*** about ovulation tests (obviously) haha!!

I'm just asking because there also are spitting tests which work differently. BUt the strip is just like I said, you should ovulate in 24 to 36 hours. So we all know what you'll be doing this w-e!! :-))

haha... hell yeah! i get off of work at 8.... i'm gonna jump my BF as soon as i walk through that d__n door! i just hope we do it in time! someone else in another forum told me the positive result meant i'll be ovulating w/in the next 12-40 hours, so... i'm kind of confused but i guess either way you break it down, i should do the "dirty dirty" ASAP. haha.

oh & one more question just popped into my head.... when i ovulate that means the egg is released and starts traveling through the FT, correct? it doesn't mean i have to concieve the MOMENT i ovulate, right?

....oh.... how long does it take for an egg to travel through the FT??? i'm just so worried i won't make it in time, haha. **blush**

Don't worry about your questions! They are normal! I ttc for 4 years and gave birth 8 months ago, so I had A LOT of time to research the topic! You are correct, ovulation occurs when the egg is released, but the egg only lives from a couple of hours to 24 hours. That's why it's better to make sure the sperm is already there when you ovulate. So if you bd tonight, tomorrow and SUnday (:-)) you won't miss your window! As for the test strips, you can go to early-pregnancy-tests dot com /inovtesstrip dot html they tell you how it works and when you ovulate

thanks so much! ah..... i'm so excited! prenatal vitamins increase fertility, correct? i've been on them for about a week...

oh... the line on the test was faint, but that still means it's positive, right? does it have any meaning if it's faint???

TTCbabyGIRL - January 30

oh goodness... i just read this :2. Negative for the LH Surge If the test band is of lesser intensity (lighter) than the control band or cannot be seen, this means the LH level of the sample is at or near its basal (normal) level and that the LH surge is not in progress..........................does this mean my test is really a negative??? b/c the second line (the line that appears after the band closest to the test strip) is more faint.

TTCbabyGIRL - January 30

ok no i have it wrong... i just looked at my test...the line CLOSEST to the pee strip is a lot more faint than the one farther away from the pee strip. okay, so what does that mean???

TTCbabyGIRL - January 30

ugh... that means it's negative, right???

TTCbabyGIRL - January 30

sorry i totally confused myself for a second (and i'm sure i confused anyone who's reading, haha) but i'm pretty sure my test is negative now b/c the line closest to the pee strip is more faint and that means it's negative, right? does this mean that w/in the next few days the line will become more and more dark?
