Hi Ladies. This is a question for those who use OPKs. I just got a positive OPK, and I know that ovulation actually occurs 12-36 hours after that (although the package insert says 8-48 hrs after). This is my first month using OPKs and temping, so I don't have a prior data to refer to. This is our 4th month ttc#1. We bd'ed yesterday, when the OPK was sort of positive, but today it's even more so (the test line is much darker than the control line). I don't know what the sperm count of my DH is; he is 35. So, I was wondering what the best approach is: bd today and tomorrow? bd tomorrow and skip today since we did bd yesterday? bd daily for the next 2-3 days? In the prior months, we did bd daily during my calculated o-time - unfortunately, nothing came out of it:). On the other hand, I'd hate to miss a day and want to maximize my chances. If you have any good advice, let me know.

Well, it's always good to get as much of those little guys in there as possible (sorry for the wording of that, but you know what I mean). At the same time, it only takes one to get it done. If you look at the chart gallery on fertility friend, some girls who got pg bded daily, some only once or twice the whole month. But I'd say to maximize the chances, more bd is better!! have fun ;)

Thanks, dabonk. I think I'll stick with the daily routine, at least for now :)

Lana, you know what I think...the more the better I would say bd today, tomorrow, thursday AND friday. But i'm in your boat...still not pg!!! LOL I would like to see what others say...O for me should be the end of next week! GOOD LUCK!!

Socalmom, yeh, the philosophy the more the better hasn't really paid off yet for me either :). Regardless, we did bd today, just so that we can catch it. I find it hard sometimes to go on que - don't think it's really s_xy, hahaha. Luckily, my DH enjoys it, whereas I am doing it just for the "greater cause".

Yep I know what you saying, 2 cycles ago I was waving the positive opk and saying...the stick says its time to go!!! LOL last cycle I had a positive opk's on cd14 and cd16 and according to my temp i O'd on cd17 (3 days after first positive opk) so my point is that keep it going at least till friday..if you can!! hehehe

From what I've read they say that every day is considered more advantageous. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. I keep checking back here waiting for your BFP! I hope this month will be your month! BABY DUST!!!!!!!

Hey bernadette, how are you? Is the nausea better now? Yes, I hope this is my month too - it's like "enough work already, let's get it over with :)". Socalmom, I hope I am ovulating today, otherwise, it would make my luteal phase short. I'll test with OPK again today to make sure it's lighter.

Hi Lana, the nausea is not better, but I am on meds for it now. I am hoping it won't be like the other pregnancies and it will go away when the first trimester ends in a few weeks. It's nowhere near as bad as the last few pregnancies though. I was hospitalized several times in the first trimester with each and I have managed to keep hydrated this time. I'll keep checking back as you approach the dreaded 2WW! I'm thinking about you!
