I was just curious to see if anyone ever had a blood test for pregnancy come back negitive but later found out they were infact pregnant? I had a very light period on the 7th and 8th . of november. Since then I have had cramping, sore bbs, headaches, heartburn, and no appit_te. I have taken quite a few urine tests and today got a negitive blood test. I am due for my next period next week but I was just wondering if by chance the blood test didn't pick it up. Thanks for your info. I guess I am holding on to hope at this point.

Even with blood test though. I can see with a urine test but I am not so sure about the blood test. I will wait ans see if Af come and then if not I will ask for another test.

I'm having the same issue. AF was due 11/25, still has not come. I hve had multiple neg uring tests and a neg blood test on 11/29. I had imp bleeding symptoms last weekend and have been crampy, light headed, lower back ache, very tired, increased apet_te, especially when I wake up in the a.m. Planning on taking another urine test 12/05. Very confused b/c i've been on the pill but have 2 other kids and really feel pg.

Becky, I hope you don't mind me b___ting in... Yes it is possible to test too soon on a blood test and get a false negative. Five years ago, I got pregnant for the first time with dd and didn't know I was pregnant. I remember my bbs hurt so bad I was crying and I went to the doctor. They ran a blood test and it came back negative. They also told me that I had fibroids in my b___sts and endometriosis and would never be able to conceive. I went home that day crying my eyes out and found out one week later (by a urine test) that I was, in fact, pregnant. At the time that I was told I would never conceive, I was already 6 weeks pregnant! Imagine my surprise...anyway, for the most part, doctors say that the blood tests are very reliable, but it depends on which type you get. If they only did a qualitative (yes/no) then the cut-off for some of those is as high as 50 mIU. Which means they're not any more sensitive than a urine test. If that's what they gave you and it was negative, you may still have hope. I would test again in a week (urine) or go back and have another blood test done and make sure it's a quant_tative...that one tells you exactly how much hcg is in your blood and is a lot more reliable. I hope this helps! Please, keep me posted and let me know what happens!!!

Btw, I had two more children after dd was born, so doctors aren't always right...

Thank yo i was wondering what kind they had done But I don't know I will go back in if AF doesn't show up next week. I am kinda hoping she stays away and I am pregnant. If not I will try again next month. Thank you for the ray of hope.
