Question For All Your Ladies

Hey, I have been reading lots of posts, and have got the lingo down, but I just have one question. When you all say, 10 days or however many past ovulation, how do you know exactly when you ovulated? Or are you measuring from when you had s_x? Sorry, I am just trying to figure out when I can take a home pregnancy test. I don't want to take it too early!! Does anyone know how to tell when to take one?

Cycle Day 1 is the first day of your last period.....you would normally ovulate on or around cycle day 14. Some people pin point the time of ovulation by BBT, or CM, and some can even feel pinches (or ovulation cramps)....if you are like me and you are not sure when, you may have to use an ovulation predictor kit....so to answer your question.....5 days before your expected period (it varies though) you should be able to take a hpt (Early results like First Response or EPT).....if you are pregnant you should miss your period and if it is late that is one of the most promising signs that you are pregnant. However, I am 7 days late and still getting negative tests back....every woman is different....I hope this has helped you and I wish you all the best.
