I took a test and a line formed about 5 minutes into test. Every test I have taken after is negative. Would an evaporation line eventually disappear or would it stay? Also-on positive tests, would the line stay or disappear? Thanks.

Guess I should say that I have taken same test after that and left it out for 24 and another for 48 hours and no line formed on either one. So why would that same test? And why are they negative now? Have only had pink spotting but no cramps.

Which test did you use? Usually they say, don't read a negative result after 10 minutes. Meaning, if it doesn't change to positive during those 10 minutes, then don't read it (or into it) any more after that. A positive line is said to stay positive up to 48 hours but I have keep-sake positive tests that just stayed positive! I wouldn't worry too much about the evaporation line because it usually shows up after the 10 mins. when you're supposed to stop looking at the negative test...(hard though that can sometimes be)
