is it true that smoking stops affects fertility, if so by how much? does being a few pound overweight affect fertility.....?? thanks

"Smoking increases the incidence of infertility X 3 times; Smoking reduces the response to fertility drugs; Smoking increases the risk of ectopic pregnancy; Smoking increases the miscarriage rate; Smoking increases congenital abnormalities. What effect does being overweight or underweight have on the chance of conception? Ovulation becomes infrequent or stops; Periods are irregular and/or heavy; Natural conception is reduced; Therapies to help ovulation are not as successful; There is a higher chance of miscarriage." Your welcome. Although it is best to be as healthy as possible, I know two people who were quite overweight when they conceived. It worked well for them - neither put on any weight when they were pregnant (healthy, given their circ_mstances) and when they gave birth - they were left with great figure! Both had healthy babies too.
