So New At This

Hi Ladies! I say that because I came of BCP last month and DH and I have been using condoms faithfully (get back to natural cycles before ttc-is our plan) but maybe I'm freaking out due to not having that safety net! Ok here is goes, and I hope this helps other women in my boat or are ttc too. My last withdrawl bleed was Feb 10-15. I know for sure I ovulated on Feb 23 because that week every male that I came across was attractive to me in one way or another esp. DH. and I had ewcm a few days up to the 23, a huge glob of ewcm on that day, and a bit for a day or 2 after. ( see this is new to me because I haven't ovulated for 7 years so its exciting to me ;)) Now I'm completely dry, which is such a nice change because I had constant funky discharge while on bcp. Here is my symptoms, that make me go hmmm... my br___t are sore (they have been before but NOT like this) my nipples feel like razors when they are touched and my br___ts are tender to the touch and are just plain sore (bra's hurt). I have twinges and minor cramps in the pelvic area, weird sensations in the nether regions, itchy skin between my belly button and pubic area, tired (exhausted by 6pm), a few dizzy spells, and slight nauseau (rarely though), and decreased appet_te. The symptoms seem like they are progressing. If I go by a 29 day cycle (which was my bcp cycle) I'm 8dpo and AF due on Mar. 10. Now I understand that my body may be going crazy, and this is my PMS symptoms I must start to enjoy or a little guy escaped. I know the standard answer is wait until AF doesn't come, its all in your head, you used condoms...yadda yadda, but I want to know if this happened to any else and I would love to have waiting buddy regardless of the outcome.

Wow, Newbie. Those are great symptoms! But if you were strict with the condoms then.....well, maybe one DID escape and then all these symptoms would make sense! Did you have such strong PMS signs before you went onto bcp? I came off bcp in Sept last year and my cycle took a few months to regulate. The first two months were still as if on the pill but the last few have been on their own and I have noticed my pms symptoms are stronger than before. But NOT as much as what you currently have! Whew - not sure I helped ya at all - but I wish you all the best in ttc. It's a blast!! :)

Hey Jules thanks for the info. The only thing that may have happened was the condon wasn't all the way to the base, so maybe some came out and we didn't notice. I can't remember my PMS symptoms to well (I was 17 when I went on the pill), but I don't think my b___bs hurt. My b___sts hurt a bit on the bcp but not as bad as this, and they started to fade about this time too,and their not fading!. so anyway-just have to wait it out and learn what my cycles are going to be like if I'm not pregnant. (Its so hard when your ttc too, or hoping that it happened earlier!)

Yeah, Newbie - I hear ya! You'll see on this site that the one thing all the ladies find killer is the waiting!!! Don't let it get to ya. Just enjoy the experience and love spending extra quality baby dancing time with your hubby! I thought we had it right this last month but af came on Tuesday (right on time) so we'll just have to keep tryin. (I can see my "poor" Dh rolling his eyes and saying "oh no - not again!") (Methinks that ttc is their favourite part!) Keep in touch and all the best to ya.

HI sorry, I'm politely bumping this up, just because it easily gets lost in the new posts. Anyone who has had similar experiences or is waiting for thier AF feel free to share info. ;)

Poppins - March 3

Oh my gosh. I am in the very same boat. Just off bcp on the 9th. Similar symptoms. Waiting till the 9th. My husband likes to put it in then get a condom a few minutes later. I've explained that this might not be a good idea, but, alas, I wait. I can't say I wouldn't be thrilled, though. You? Good luck.

Poppins - March 3

I had the big ewcm glob, too. I have been wondering that was the mucous that blocked my cervical opening while on the pill. What do you think?Anybody else have the "glob"?

Newbie - March 3

Oh my gosh Poppins! I am so glad that you are exactly in the same boat as me!!!.Pretty much to the day!lol. Could be we both experiencing hormonal changes from the going off the pill or there is a suprise waiting I would be estatic. I am trying not to get my hopes up too much because we used another form of protection. I thought that glob was from the plug coming out too. Because I haven't had any thing like that ever. Well at least that's one barrier down. keep in touch and let me know how you are feeling. My b___sts still hurt all over and very tender to touch, tired, twinges and small cramps in the right side on and off, and some discharge (thought I was dry) but nothing tell tale. Baby dust!!**********

Newbie - March 3

Update: (for any one that cares) lol I'm having more prominant twinges in the right side and am starting to have slight cramps, ga__sy (yay) and want to be in bed by 8. The veins are starting to look like bruises (maybe that's from me pushing on them to make sure they're still sore!) Anyway best of luck to others!

Deb - March 5

Newbie and Poppins - I , too am in the same boat! Off bcp on the 10th, having major nipple/b___st pain, slight bruising, some twinges, and the "glob" ! (Sorry if TMI!) I am also waiting until next weekend to test. Hoping it's positive....

Newbie - March 5

Deb! I'm so glad that I am not alone in this. I'm 11dpo and same symptoms, my b___sts aren't as noticable but they still are very tender, my left nipple is on fire right now, but no other signs. 4-5 more days! Argh! We all may be experiencing hormonal imbalances from going off bcp's. Its neat that we all feel the same way. I hope for our sake there is a wonderful reason for all this, if not in my case, I have learned something, but please let there be a positve!!!lol!!!Can't drive myself crazy.
