Hi Ladies! Forgive me for intruding, I am new to this forum, but I need some womanly help. I had the STRANGEST thing happen to me today. I got up this morning in a great mood and all was good with the world until my daughter asked me if she could go to her friends house. I had no problem with that, but asked her to clean her room first etc...Well, when she did, she came back to me and asked again and I started CRYING! Yes, Crying! I started to say "oh, I see, you don't want to spend time with mommy etc.." Now, first of all, I am the most even tempered person alive! I am bubbly and happy...NEVER have I ever acted in an emotional way like this before! I even apologized and told her to go and thought I was psycho or possessed for 15 minutes. I called my husband and he was like WHOA! I am NEVER like that. He then said, you are either pregnant or PMS'ing. Now, I have been ttc for 8 months without luck. Now, here's the thing...I don't know when to count days past ovulation etc.. I don't know which day to begin on. Someone HELP! Here is my dates: I had AF on October 27. I have 26 day cycles. According to the O Calculators, I was fertile on Nov. 5th-10th. Now, I had s_x on Nov. 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9th. My AF is due again on Nov. 21st. How many dpo am I? Could this be PMS? Or could this be the sign I am hoping for? Ughh! Someone, Anyone...Please help me! I am clueless. After my emotional trainwreck, I was fine, but I am NEVER EVER like that. I literally broke down to tears and cried! I mean...Ugh.. Ok, going to stop rambling. If any one of you ladies can offer advice, I would gladly take it. Thanks! L~

You usually ovulate half way through your cycle, so for you that would be about the 8th of November. I would count from the 8th, with 26 day cycles I would think that you wouldn't ovulate as late as the 10th. Anyway, I think you bd'ed on the perfect days. So, that would make you 3dpo on sunday the 11th. It usually takes about 6 days for the fertilized egg to implant in the uterus, so it is a bit early for you to be having any symptoms, however if you ovulated earlier, then maybe. I would go with the 8th to be safe. That would mean that the earliest you could get a positive test would be the 22nd. Does this answer your question? By the way, my name is Mandi. I am 31, I have a 21 month old daughter already and this is our 3rd month ttc. On sunday I will be 8dpo, and I have no symptoms... I didn't with my daughter either until I tested positive. Baby Dust!!! :}

Thank you so much Mandi!! I feel so stupid for needing to ask such a simple question, but I was confused with all the sites that gave me conflicting info. You have been tremendously helpful! I am 30 and have two beautiful kids and hoping to have #3. I guess I will be joining in the horrific 2ww- that seems forever and a day long! hehe Baby Dust to you as well!!

You have nothing to feel stupid about. I didn't know half this c___p before I found this forum about a month ago. Sometimes I wish for blissful igrorance... so nice to know nothing about you own reproductive system. Keep me posted.

Haha, I know what you mean. I was reading posts from others and was amazed on how much I didn't know! I knew it was too early to feel anything at this point, but it was the fact that I have never been so emotional over nothing unless it was PMS. (And even then, I am not even bad.) It was my husband's comment that got the gerbil running in my head. Well, we'll see how this turns out. hehe

Do you use opk's to determine ovulation, I use a digital fertility monitor. I came off bc pills in the middle of august, and had horrible bc pill withdrawls. I didn't know that could happen? What really sucks is that the symptoms are the same as pregnancy symptoms and I had them bad!!! I was sure I was pregnant with my last two cycles and then... nothing. It has been really hard. AF should start sometime between the 15th and the 18th and my hubby will be out of state, which sucks. If AF is going to come I would really like for him to be here, instead, he is going to be at his 20yr old sisters wedding, and that's a whole different story. Anyway, keep me posted as to what is happening. :}

No, I never have used anything to predict ovulation or take temps etc... For both of mine, I just let nature happen when the time was ready. I knew if I did multiple things to keep track, my brain would run miles obsessing. (And lord, when get focused on something...look out! haha) I stopped being on the pill about a year ago. For the fist few months, I would get hopeful and nothing but lately, I just haven't been focused on it and out of the blue, it just seemed like a hopeful possibility. I see you have been ttc for 3 months? That's awesome. I am sure since you are using the monitors, it won't be as long as it has been for me. (Maybe I need to be more pro-active.) hehe

You can rent monitors at fertilityrentals.com, or you gat buy one at drugstore.com. Just make sure that you get the test sticks as well, they don't come with any. Otherwise I know opk's are very affordable. Wouldn't you rather know that you are trying in the correct time frame? It would drive me crazy not to know for sure that the timing was right.

Off to bed. I'll check in tomorrow morning. Baby dust!!! :}

I THINK it is a bit too early to tell. Our mind and body plays tricks on us when TTC sometimes, I also had a visit from AF on 10/27 with cycle of 26-28, and using OPK with only one faint line so far which is driving me nuts. Started on Cycle Day 8. Now 16. This could go on to Day 18 According to all info I have I may not have even ovulated yet.
