My period should have came on Dec.15,it didnot,I had a "period" on Dec.13 which as very light and last one day,pinkish/brownish blood.I took a blood test on Dec.18,neg.,doctor said it could be a stomach virus,or it could be too early to test and to come back in 5-7days to retest.I have been feeling very tired, nauseous for 2 weeks now, sore br___ts,and even some foods I loved are tasting weird. Please help with some advice....Thank you :)

When was your last regular period? Are your periods regular? Blood tests are very accurate, although i'm sure there has been someone who has had a false negative before. Your symptoms could be the result of a simple hormone imbalance. It could also be your mind playing tricks on you, especially if you long to be pregnant. Maybe it was just too early to test. Unfortunately, all you can do is play the dreaded waiting game. Best of luck to you and Happy Holidays.

Hi tiffani,thank-you for responding. My last regular period was on November 18,2004.My periods are regular and I never had a light period for only one day.

I would have to say that I think it's a long shot that you're pregnant. A negative blood test, 2 negative hpt's and a "period" (although very light and lasting only a day) all lead me to believe that you aren't pregnant. I really think it's more along the lines of some sort of hormone imbalance. Keep in mind that although you have had regular periods, irregular ones can start at any time for so many different reasons. I truly hope I didn't burst your bubble, that was certainly not my intent, I just wanted to give you my honest (though un-professional) opinion. I wish you the best of luck on trying to conceive (if indeed that is the goal) and please keep me posted.
