hey. does n e one know the deal w/Green Tea and pregnancy? As far as effect. I have read contradicting articles. I am ttc and the outlook so far is good and funny thing is I feel outlook good and what has changed in my lifestyle was the fact I have been drinking Green Tea every day after lunch. Once I read a negative article I stopped. Now I am thinking maybe I should keep on? Call me paranoid, I dunno. Please share your knowledge.. thanks!

i have been trying to drink a cup of green tea a day too, mostly decaf for a lot of reasons especially that i suffer from panic/anxiety disorder and the caffeine makes me feel awful. i found a great kind that has mandarin orange pieces too but its not decaf and i love the taste but try to stick with decaf. i have heard so far only positive info about how it helps fertility beacuse of an ingredient in it called epigallocatechin-3 gallate, which is a non-toxic chemical found in green tea.a study at kaiser permanente medical program found woman who drank at least 1/2 a cup a day nearly doubled their odds of getting pregnant. it is also good in helping to prevent several cancers and other ilness.great antioxidant too. so i am drinking lots and i have been eating lots of fish and fruits and veggies.trying to exercise better and i quit smoking january 1st so i know i am increasing my odds a ton. good luck .

as long as its decaf i really think its okay, just ask your doctor or check on-line about green tea while pregnant.

Thanks. I want to read more about Epigall...(watevers in it) and its connection to helping conceive. Have you heard/read anything more on that? I have to say all these weeks reading reading I've learned so darn much haha. I was talking to my mom she asked if I was reading from and article and nope- it was what I've learned, :)

Hi Bell. Interesting info.

hope-31 - February 8

i have not looked further into it but i will and who ever learns more 1st let the other know. so where are you from?how old? is this your 1st ttc baby? whats your story?

Sandy81 - February 9

I am sorry to hear that Hope. Keep trying! I have a cousin with endo who has a perfect 3 yr old son now. I don't talk to her much however I know she ttc here and there but sure enuff she had a lovely son. So since March have you had any close to's ? I've read you said many months you think you are and you're not... how did that go?

.. and when you say that you were not aware of your "endless symptoms".. wat were those about?

Sandy81 - February 9

.. I've re-read what you wrote. I am thinking you had implantation the 15th/16th... thus the cramps.. since you already had your af the 6th. but then when did you ovulate? i am really picking my brain w/this one. (and by the way, thanks for sharing)

hope-31 - February 9

not sure exactly when i ovulated since i really wasnt officially ttc yet. i was not aware of the ovulation signals other than pain. i dont know when i o'd except from when i had af on the 6th and when the cramping and ib started i only know it was not the "normal"time. i know they say it takes a while after bcp to o regular and obviously that was the case with me. i said i wasnt aware of all the endless symptoms but i looking back at the moment only remember having sore gums when brushing, low backache and the af cramps and ib. i have not gotten pregnant yet so no close calls if thats what you meant. apparently my af symptoms for me are a lot like af so i just always think "oh is a sign or isnt it".

Hey Hope. I see now how it's hard for you to tell. Well.. it just wasn't meant to be but it will be when its right and if it happened then, your a fertile pertile (haha, just sounded like something to say..lmao) ... so it'll happen again =D ... Monday - Friday I work a 9-5 so during that time frame I can only sneak a post. But in the evenings I will def check in so don't worry I wont disappear. I just put I Love Lucy on and I was like: o wow I love Lucy I didnt even know I had TVLand Chanel. And Ethel goes: Lucy your having a baby? What did the doctors say? and Lucy goes "Ethel, we are going to have a baby".. and her eyes are crossing. Hehe. A sign?
