I am now 5 days late for AF, I tested on saturday and got a very faint negative sign. Does anyone know if this is a reliable negative or not. Please Help!

what do you mean a faint negative sign? was the control line really faint or was it a faint line in the test area?

what kind of test were you using?

I was using the Rite Aid brand of pregnancy test. The control line was really dark, it was the line in the test area that was a really light negative.

is that test a plus/minus test?

I'm not really familiar with that test, but I used the First Response and Clearblue Digital and got good results.

Crystal.....the control line shows you that the test is working....the other line in the test area is not a "negative"---if it shows up, even faint, it is probable that you are pregnant.

Oh, I meant to add--- NO line in the test area means the test is negative. Go to www.peeonastick.com and there are pictures of positive tests that you can compare to yours.

Go get yourself a clearblue digital. It says "pregnant" or "not pregnant". The answer is in black and white so you won't have to fret over faint lines.
