The Pregnancy Book Club

I've been wondering if anyone would be interested in having a mini "book club"? I was thinking that it would be rather interesting to pick books both fiction and non-fiction and share our likes and dislikes. Perhaps it'll help keep up the positive vibes and keep our minds off our symptoms or lack there of. If you're interested please post and give a t_tle of a book that you think would be a great way to kick off the book club! If there's enough interest maybe we can all decide on a book and begin shortly. Much love, Mamas and Papas******

Sounds like a great idea to me SugarPie! I do need something to keep my mind off of what's going on. I think something by Nicholas Sparks might be cool. He is a really good writer, and several of his books have been made into movies. You can see a list of his novels on www.nichola__sparks.com/TheNovels.html Let me know what you think! 'Fabby' idea SugarPie!!

Great idea. Hopefully it'll work. There's been alot of tension here lately. One of my favorite books is SERGI. It's a biography. It has love, lost, and great hope. It'll give faith to those who need it most.

I like your idea! If you need a good laugh and want to take your mind of things Janet Evanovich writes great stuff. Start with 'One for the Money' and I a__sure you, you'll want to read on and on.

Well, cool!! This will be really good!! When do you guys want to decide on a book? And when do you want to start reading and have at least chapter one done? I was thinking that we'd decide by Thursday and then include Friday and the weekend in order to get the book and read at least the first chapter. That way we can start by next Monday? Let me know what you all think. In the interim, how would you all feel that we throw in ideas for book, make a final list and then vote (even anonymously) on a rating scale of interest 0-5 on all the books proposed? I can get a summary thing of all the t_tles we throw out so we have something to go on and the book with the highest rating of interest will be the first book? Sound good? If anyone else has an easier way to get it going please tell us and we'll do that!! Much love ladies***

I think that sounds like a good idea SP...I can't think of any other way to do it. I guess since this is your baby, you'll be doing the arranging. : )

What a great idea! You mentioned Nicholas Sparks, how about "The Notebook." I've seen the movie, and own the book, but haven't read it yet. Excellent movie, by the way.

Tiffani - I've been wanting to read that one too! Along with A Walk to Remember - LOVE that movie!! I haven't seen the Notebook yet. Oh, another good book is Where the Heart Is, by Billie Letts....also made into a movie - but I like the book better!!

Wow, this is fabby!!!!! I think a tear jerker is definitely in the lead. We'll decide Thursday. Make sure to write the t_tles of the books you're interested and then I'll post a summary and we'll go from there in rating what's of interest to us!! Much love and stress off our minds****

MandyD~ Haven't seen any of those, but sound like they might be right up my alley. SugarPie~ Here's my vote : "A Long Walk to Remember."

SugarPie - February 28

My vote is for the Notebook or a Long Walk To Remember (either one is fine with me). We need some positive love stuff right now.
