This Site Makes Me CRAZY

I guess this is more of a statement rather than a question. But I now find myself addicted to this site and all of your stories and questions! And if you spend enough time reading the threads (as I have)....you can sike yourself into having pregnancy symptoms..like myself....I can almost convince myself I have the feeling that I sucked on a spoon all day(referring to the metalic taste symptom)! Does anyone else agree that it sucks that PMS symptoms are very similar to pregnancy symptoms (from the sounds of things). There seems to only be a few minor signature signs between the two. And then there seems to be a lot of people who have taken HPTs that turned out neg. & are still pregnant, and a lot who have a period for not only a month but for a few months. Well, one thing that I have learned from this site and from many others in my quest for pregnancy is that it is definately an individual basis.....Everyone is different, every couple is different. But with information like this it's nice to know that your not alone....so thank you to everyone for your insight and your questions!!!

Juli, I am addicted too. I am spending hours every day. Fortunately one can get things done around the house in between sessions. I just love the feeling of being wanted and needed. Thank you all for being there.

Juli- I agree 100%. Here's what I"m starting to believe. I had the same situation, lmp was 7/24, all negative tests, countless hpts and 2 blood. My Dr. claims I didn't get a period for some reason but the progesterone is just stuck at a higher level (making for lots of pregnancy symptoms). He is doing a progesterone withdrawal test with me, if I get a period, I'm not pg, if i don't get a period then we look into it further. He PROMISED me it is safe, it is prometrium, natural progesterone in peanut oil in capsules. Take for 7 days, stop, then you get period and it will get your cycles back to normal. Would love it if anyone has thoughts on this. I have to admit, that since I saw Dr., some of my symptoms seem to have "disappeared" (stress? in my head?) who knows. Still queasy in the morning and crampy. I dunnknow. I DO know its all crazy- making!!!! Thoughts? I agree, Viv, you're very valuable to this site. Do you have official training on the subject???

No Julie. I just have good Internet search skills and understand that others might not, or they might just want to vent. Prometrium is digestible progesterone. I Googled progesterone withdrawal prometrium and came up with this on the first page: Pregnancy: If the patient is exposed to progesterone during the first 4 months of pregnancy or if she becomes pregnant while taking this drug she should be appraised of the potential risks to the fetus. It was on the www.rxmed.com web site.

Wow Viv, thanks. My Dr. swore that he gave it to his sister and that there are no "competent" studies proving that there is any potential problem. This is what they give women who have had miscarriages to help sustain the pregnancy. Time will tell for me. Dr is so convinced I'm not pregnant that I would love to go back in there with a positive test and an "I TOLD YA SO!!" Time will tell. Thanks for your research...
