Ttc For The First Time Some Question

my dh and I are both 24 and are attempting our first try at ttc this month. I ovulate in about a week. Will having unprotected s_x for a week every other day until the day of ovulation increase our chances of concieving? or should we wait until the day of ovulation? also when does implantation occur? and how soon after can I test? And is there anyone who is the same situation as me and would like to wait with me?

So long as your husband doesn't have a low sperm count, there's probably no difference at all between every day or every other day. Implantation normally occurs between 6-12 days after ovulation, and a test should show reliable results a few days after implantation. So, it is possible to get a positive result at 9 dpo, but if you don't want to have to face false negatives, you're better off waiting until your period is due to test.

Some research suggests that the day before O is the most fertile, but at age 24 I say have fun and let it happen - it might take one month or three, but what the heck. Good luck!

hi kelly...im also 24 and dh and i plan on officially ttc next month although this month and last we kind of threw caution to the wind and said, "if it happens a month or two early, thats ok too!" i would say have s_x as often as you feel like but don't let it become a chore. i will wait with you as a first time ttcer as well! good luck and baby dust to you!!!

My bf of 6 years and i started ttc this month also. i ovulated around the 17th. I have been on the pill for about 8 years though. so it could take us some time. i took it faithfully too. **baby dust to all**
