My fiance and I are getting married on January 28th and we have discussed having a baby and are going to start ttc in the month of February. Is there anything I can do now to prepare for this, physically moreso. I wish we were already trying but he wants to wait until we are married...

I would call your doctor and make an appt. If you are wanting to try in Febuary and if you are currently taking bc, you might want to go ahead and get off the pills and then just use another form of protection until you are ready to try. Also, if you are not current on your vacinations, I would get current on those, for example if you haven't had a tetnus shot in a long time you would want to get one of those because you can't while you are pregant, also a chicken pox vacine if you haven't had that yet. Good luck.

I would also suggest starting to take prenatal vitamins now.

Hi, I'm hoping to start ttc next month. So far I have started upping the amount of fruit and veg in my diet to try and keep my vit C and folate etc levels up and I'm also looking into what vitamin tablets I should be taking. Good luck

Thank you all for the advice. I will make a doc appt asap! I already came off my BC pill around a year ago so that is fine. I'm currently taking folic acid, but I will check out the other vitamins I should be taking! I'm so anxious and excited!!!

congratulations on your upcoming marriage and definately start a prenatal vitamin. My doctor gave me a prescription for a vitamin 3 months before I was going to try to conceive. Good luck to you and your soon to be hubby!
