Uncle Viv Pregnant Or Perimenopausal

Last period was 2 days late and lighter than usual. Am not trying to get pregnant and am in my 40s. However, did have 3 miscarriages and do know what symptoms of preg feel like. My br___ts are tender and I am only 7 days past my last (lighter than normal) period. During my first pregnancy (that ended in miscarriage) I had a light period the first month (but not with the others). I am terrified to get pregnant at my age (last miscarriage indicated chromosomal problems). Also, I found out that I was miscarrying probably due to low progesterone. Because of this (and not taking progesterone suppositories), I really thought it would be next to impossible to get pregnant. I think most of you are younger than me, but any help would be appreciated.

JJ, what a dilemma. We had a 45 year old in the office thrilled to bits when she found out she was pregnant last year. I bet there's a part of you that would still like a child. If you answer that call, good medical advice will make sure that any child you have is above averge (Lake Woebegone style). You could start testing now. Come back to this thread and share where you go with this. Good luck!
