Once a woman has ovulated, if she has conceived how long does it take for the fertilised egg to travel to and implant into the uterus?Once its in there is that when the hormones start to double or before? The longer I try to conceive the more I wonder about these details that I never really thought of before...thank you for your input

The fertilized egg usually takes anywhere from 7 to 10 days to reach and implant into the uterus. The egg does start to divide on its journey from the fallopian tube to the uterus. However, HCG is formed when the egg attaches to the wall of the uterus. (This is why a pregnancy can be detected with a blood test in the 3rd week of your pregnancy, or the week after ovulation) A really helpful site that I have used for reference is americanbaby.com. I hope this helps.
