I took a urine test at my doctors office last firday (june 3rd),it showed a BFN.They also took a blood test the same say. Is it possible that the blood test could be different results? From what i can figure i would only be 4,5 or 6 weeks preggers. please help me!!!

A blood test is more sensitive so the results can be different. A blood test can actually measure the amount of hcg in your blood while a urine test is no/yes kind of thing

How early would a blood test pick up the Hcg?

well..if you are six weeks pregnant..then it should..but women's bodies are all differrent.

Kris, my OB said a blood test will pick up ANY amt. of preg. hormone in your body. As soon as u've conceived, a blood test will show. Atleast thats what ive been told.

I got this off another part of this site - "An even more sensitive test can be performed by your doctor who can test the hCG levels in your blood. This test can detect pregnancy with virtually 100 percent accuracy as early as one week after conception, using just a few drops of blood. This test... is more accurate than conventional home pregnancy tests because it can detect lower levels of hCG. A benefit of this test is that it can also be used to date the pregnancy by measuring the exact amount of hCG in the blood. hCG levels change predictably as pregnancy progresses, so hCG levels can be used to date the time of conception and determine the estimated date of birth." Hope this helps :-)
