Hello, I just found out I was pregnant a couple of days ago. I have had three possitive home pregnancy tests. Just last night I was starting to have pink discharge. This morning I woke up and when I went to the bathroom I had brown spotting. Then I went to the bathroom no to long ago and a gush of red blood with small clots came out almost like water. I'm very sad and teary eyed. I don't want to suspect the worse. Anyone experience this and still was OK and had a normal pregnancy? Please help.

alyssa...please go to the er immediately. the same thing happened to me back in april. i had brown spotting for a few days then one giant gush of red blood. i didn't have any cramps. unfortunately i lost them both (twins). for some women bleeding is normal in pg...but with bright red gushes it is dangerous. i went to the er and they got me in immediately...didn't even have to register. good luck..and if you need to talk, i'm here...

I'm probably only between 2-4 weeks along. I haven't even been to see a doctor yet about being pregnant. Won't they tell me I'm just miscarrying???

Alyssa - September 4

I'm also cramping a lot.

hi - September 4

i agree it sounds like you need a doctor.this happened to me a few months ago.i never confirmed a pregnancy but had the pink spotting that turned brown then stoped.week later had a gush of red blood and clots.i was terrified didn't know if i had a miscarriage ,was ever really pregnant or not.i had all kinds of symptoms that oddly stopped the night before the gushing.i wish you the best and god bless

i was 6 1/2 weeks along...and hadn't been to the dr yet either. they will tell you if you are m/cing...but there are also things they would have to check for...they would check you hcg levels to see if they are low. has it been 2-4 weeks since you got pregnant or had your last period? because if you got pregnant 4 weeks ago, but had your period 6 weeks ago, they will consider you 6 weeks long. they may do a v____al ultrasound to see if there are any blood clots that are causing the bleeding. either way, you will need a follow up in a few days to see if a d&c is neccessary. when i had my m/c after the one gush of red blood, all bleeding stopped and i needed a d&c a week later because my body was not expelling the "remains" of the pregnancy like it should have. i hope it's not a m/c...but if it is, you still need to be seen by a dr...just to make sure you don't get an infection or anything.

hi - September 4

alyssa it does sound like a miscarriage but the doctors need to see you.some women need d&c to clean out the uterus.sometimes it doesn't all come out.either way hun you need to go.

I had my last period on Aug. 3rd and I'm a regular 28 day cycle. But I have to go now. I will give everyone an update. Thanx for everything!

Hi Alyssa, Sorry to hear about your possible m/c. It is best to go to the ER. Take care

Alyssa - September 4

I did go to the ER and they did some tests including a blood test. Well the blood test came back saying I wasn't even pregnant!!! I can't believe that at all. I took 3 DIFFERENT tests that all came out possitive on 3 DIFFERENT days. Could I have had an early m/c and now it just shows up i'm not pregnant?? What about the chances of still being pregnant?? Any ideas??

P.S: They told me it's just my period, BUT my period has never EVER been like this. Not even when I have went off the patch before. Its almost watery like and a constant gush.

ravhypoo - September 4

you could have had a chemical pregnancy. and they wouldnt have picked the hcg up now.

mellissa - September 4

wow...that's crazy!!! like rachypoo said it could have been a chemical pregnancy.i've heard a lot of women talking about that. goodness...i'm sorry you had to go through that!!!

kirstie - September 4
