hi guys i have been thinking i have a lutheal phase defect but wont know until i see the doctor but i have been reading about lots of fertility remedies to help. i bought the target generic of robitussin to start once my cycle ends to help with the ewcm which i seem to get most of the time but wont hurt, right? i have already been taking the prenatal prima care one purple soft gel. sometimes i forget to take it but not too often. i have been drinking green tea decaf and even though i enjoy it i was thinking about the capsules just out of conveinance, can you get them decaf and with the eccg in it? and b6 i just bought but now i read that too much can cause severe health problems. the tablets are 100 mg and if i take one daily along with the food i eat that may contain it is that safe? i also have baby aspirin 81mg and thought about that. should i wait to ask my doctor before or keep taking it all until i see him. i dont want to hurt myself in the attemps to ttc but i thought these remedies might only help along with his ino too. any help would be great.

Hi, I don't have too much info for you but I did want to say that I just recently had a preconception visit with a midwife and she said NOT to have green tea... I don't know for sure why but she was very certain, NO GREEN TEA.... just thought I would pa__s this along, good luck!

What tpye of heath problems can B6 give you? I have been taking it also and didn't hear anything about that. Please let me know what you heard.

Hi, I certainly don't have all the answers, but hopefully can help a little bit. B6 is a water soluable vitamin meaning it will be excreted if it is not utilized in the body, unlike fat soluable vits that remain in your body. I am not saying take as much as you like. My Dr. said 50-100mg was okay. I started on Aspirin 81mg prior to my appt with the RE. He suggested I stopped taking it, but I don't know about your situation. It is best to wait and ask. I hear good and bad about green tea. I'm still confused. Everything in moderation. I have 1-3 cups a week. I wish you lots of luck!!

b6 can be toxic even if it is water soluable if taken too much. i take 100 mg a day and have yet to ask doctor if i should. b6 can cause neurological problems and tingling. all im cocerned aboutr is that just because its a vitamin or "natural" herb doesnt mean that it should be taken in excess.

Hi Hope, I am taking b6 in much larger doses, I have been told by both pharmasists and health food workers that 500 mg is very safe. I am taking it for the same reason as you, as in a self-diagnosed LPD. I have just had a chemical pregnancy. I also took b6 when I conceived my DD. but I can't remember the doses then. I also take Vitex Agnus-Castus also known as chasteberry or "baby in a bottle". We should stay in touch as no one else I know on these forums ever mentions LPDs! I have a 28-29 day cycle but the only reason I became aware of it was I used o tests last month and discovered I o'd about day 18-20. But I have only been off BCP since mid jan. When do you o and when does Af arrive?

hi lily, wow 500mg huh,not saying you shouldnt but have you also checked w/ the doctor to see if you need that much daily? i am sticking w/ 100mg a day until i see the doctor. its based only on what i have researched. i have always had a 28 day cycle and when i did opk which was and is not every cycle i usually noticed a lh surge around day 12-14 however i read that does not indicate that you positively ovulate. march 6 i got af on cd21 and again on march 24 on cd19 when i did an opk the begining of march i did get a lh surge on cd9 which i was glad i caught even though it didnt help. i was and am alarmed that this is all of a sudden happening. i read that if this is the case i could have a lutheal ohase defect and since i dont have enough days between o and af then if a pregnancy did result i would m/c since the lining is not thick enough to support implantation. dh and i have sought the help of a specialist and he gets his s/a tomorrow and i had normal bloodwork and no blockages in my hsg u/s. so we may try clomid and progesterone cream and injections, not sure which. if you have a pretty"normal" cycle i wonder why you would o that late does that still indicate a defect for you, have you asked your doctor?

i also stopped bcp jan 07 and got married in march so we wanted to ttc asap and conceived in march and m/c 2 weeks later. i wonder if that was the reason too for me. i know you can not ovulate right after the pill for a while and i know that when we did conceive and based on my af on march 6 of 07 i caught the egg at a time whwn i normally would not have been ovulating yet and based on my hcg levels being 175 i wasnt more than 4 weeks.
