What Are The Symptoms Of An Ectopic Pregnancy

I have had pregnancy symptoms for a couple of months now and cannot get a positive test. I feel different so I really think something is up. I have a strange pressure every once in a while on the right lower side of my abdomen. I don't have any pain but continue having symptoms of pregnancy. I have an appt in a couple of weeks to see the doctor but I was wondering if any of you have any ideas. Thanks ladies.

With an ectopic pregnancy you still get a + hpt; your hcg still rises, sometimes normally at first.

The main sign of an Ectopic pregnancy is unilateral (one-sided) lower abdominal pain or discomfort. You may or may not have pregnancy symptoms. My suggestion to you would be to go see a Doctor as soon as possible. If it is in fact an ectopic and it ruptures it can be dangerous for you.

I thought that you would still get a positive. I called my doctor and the receptionist told me that it didn't sound like anything to worry about and just keep my appt a couple of weeks from now. I told her that I would like him to call me when he gets a chance. It is bad enough when the doctor b__ws you off but when their receptionist does it.....Geesh! Thanks fjor the input

This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't listen to the receptionist's opinion of if something is seriously wrong! If you suspect something is wrong, call you dr again. Good luck and baby dust!!!****

Jen, I am 5 weeks post operative. I found out I had an eptopic pregancy into my 7th week. The pain was on one side and it was the most painful thing I have ever felt - and I have gone through labor before. If you feel the slightest bit uncomfortable get in to see the doctor. Good luck.
