What S This About Bluish Vagina When Pregnant

Hi ladies, I am 6 weeks pregnant and I keep seeing things about having a bluish/purplish vulva when you get pregnant, and also that your nipples should become darker. Well I have neither of these symptoms. I checked myself out "down there" and it is just as pink as always, no bluish color. Is this a bad sign?

Your blood volume increases when you're pregnant, so the circulation increases. It's the veins you see more in your v____a when pregnant. Not everyone gets it right away, but you may notice it in a few more weeks. My nipples did not become darker either...just bigger, and bumpier. All normal. Not every pregnancy symptom affects everyone. You may find you have different ones with different pregnancies. good Luck, and congrats!

Since you're only six weeks they may change later-mine did.

Nipples will get darker later for some. I am 10 wweeks and do not have a change in my nipples been to the dr. last week and said it looks fine. You wont get every symptoms by the way.

I think what you are talking about is chadwicks sign. Bluish/purplish cervix and I doubt you could check that out on your own. Its from the increased blood flow to the uterus, etc. I am 28 weeks preggo and my vulva is not purple.

Yes, that's Chadwick's sign... you'd have to be pretty flexible and handy with a speculum to see that! Should be visible to your doc on the first prenatal visit.
