When Can A Baby Be Felt In Doc Examination

At roughly how many weeks can a baby be felt during an external examination by a doctor? Does it depend on your weight as well? So if you are overweight is it harder to feel?

Does anyone know the answer to this?

Yes, a baby is harder to feel if you are overweight. I can make an educated guess and say the growing uterus would be felt externally by around Week 10, but don't take my word for it. :)

Im just wondering that a doc would know about it if they were looking for it. Just thinking what stage u would be at before a doctor would notice even if they werent necessarily aiming to feel for a baby. It sounds strange but my doc did this to me and then told me to go for an ultrasound but she didnt mention if it if she did feel what could ahve been a baby

The doc may have felt that your uterus was larger than normal size...which may be the cause or she/he may also have felt a cyst and wants to have it checked...go for the sonogram...good luck
