When Would You First Test Grandpa VIV

I got my last period late on January, 22nd, about 1-2 days early in a 29 day cycle. It was much heavier than normal and I suspect that I may have conceived and but the egg did not successfully imlant. I ovulated a little later in February, either the 7th or 8th. Would this make my current cycle longer, since most women get their period 14 days after they ovulate? This would mean my period would be due on the 21st or 22nd, around day 30? My cycles were off when I was younger but they were consistently 29 days after I went off the pill last fall. Last month was 27 days and this month is looking like it will be 30 or 31 days if I am correct? Is it possible that I have gone back to being irregular once again? Sorry this is long. Thanks for any advice.

Hmm! Sorry the January effort did not take. Being on the pill regulates your cycle. Presumably your natural body rhythms eventually re-establish themsleves when you quit. Menstruation does follow ovulation by 14 days, plus or minus 2 days. If you are hoping to get pregnant this month, I would start testing 3 weeks after ovulation, about March 1st. Good luck.

Thank you, Grandpa Viv! We are all very lucky to have you on this site. I'll keep you posted. I have leaked a bit today and each time thought I'd find blood there but it was just small amounts of creamy cm. Here's to hoping for a BFP.

Grandpa Viv, I just wanted to let you know that I have taken two HPT's now and both have been ++! I did not get my period this month but I will confirm all of this with my doctor soon. Thank you for all of your advice to everyone on this site! You have been so helpful!
