Who Do I Go To See

Hi everyone. I just found out this morning that I am not pregnant (My Period came). Me and my hubby have been trying for 14 months now and I have decided that I want to go to the doctor to see if any thing is wrong. My Mom had a hard time getting pregnant (took 8 years for my Brother and another 5 for me), so I wonder if maybe it has been passed down. My question is who do I go to see? Do I just see my family Doctor? I know that this might be stupid... but I'm not well informed on how anything concerning doctors and hospitals work. I've never had to go to the hospital for anything other then check-ups! Anyways, I was just wondering if I would need to go to a fertility doctor or just my family doctor. Thanks!

You need to see a ob/gyn and make sure that everything is in working order and then you need to get a referral to an infertility specialist. They will most definitely help you. You might need to see a geneticist if the infertility specialists deem so, but that would be your first two steps. Nix the GP unless you need a referral to see the OB/GYN from him/her. Much love****
