On FF I input my temp for today and it gave me an open circle. I have NOTHING checked. Well, only cramps thanks to AF's arrival... Why would I have an Open cirlce??? Thanks! Same time, no fatigue/exhaustion, etc, etc etc...

Hi Megs! Sorry to hear about AF's unwelcome visit. As for the open circle..... I thought if you didn't temp at the same time, it would give you an open circle (within 30 minutes of your usual time - either way)...but you said you temped at the same time....so ???? IDK!

Thanks Jenn... I was sure hoping to add to the Feb. BFP list... LOL Oh well. I just really HATE those open circles!! haha. I temp at my usual time, no illness, fatigue, etc... don't understand!!

Open Circles and Dots: If something in the data indicates that the temperature may be slightly inaccurate (either by events selected in the Special data area or by a time difference larger than normal), the temperature is plotted using a circle instead of a dot. Please note that these points do not need to be discarded. The circle will just indicate to the reader areas on the chart where the data may be less accurate. this is what ff help says

hi megs, do you temp at the same time everyday? your charts look very confusing, where it is even hard to see a temp shift. that is why i was curious if you changed times at all.

Megs I would like to suggest that you may want to use OPK's to better pinpoint your ovulation date as well as checking your cm if your comfortable with that. I doubt FF is right in charting your O day but if they are that is an extremely short LP and with your temps so out of what I think it would be easier for you if you to be sure you are ovulating. Have your temps always been that way? Has Damiana effected them?

Thanks Jenn!! I just hope I will O sometime during February and not have an extremely LONG cycle... :-) Let's keep positive though, right??? I am going to start using OPK's this next go around to see if it helps ANY! I have set my alarm everyday (okay I had a couple that I allowed myself to sleep in late in previous charts) for 5:30am and I temp, write it down and then go back to sleep. Never get out of bed or anything. This is what I did last night as well. 5:30am took my temp. I don't understand the open circle!!!!! UGH!!! Since I've started charting, my temps have been all over the place! I'm going back to the dr. in May for a re-checkup to see if anything's changed... I have PCOS and have heard that that will affect temps too. I'm also thinking I may have hypothyroidism and will be tested for that in May as well... The charts I do have where FF has marked O date has given me a really short LP which is why I started taking the Vitex and B6 in hopes of lengthening it. I am thinking that becuase I stopped taking every vitamin/herb a few days before my cycle was to start that it threw my body off in which is why I started my period early. Maybe?? My temps send your brain on a crazy adventure! I am seriously thinking that I should just use OPK's and not temp this next cycle and see what happens then... Ummm... What yall think??

hi! i say definately keep charting because it tells the Dr so much. I brought my months of charts in and it shortened all the testing and waiting i would have had and was put on clomid. i don't know about pcos affecting temps since i don't have it but to me i would try the opk's (and temping) and if there is no + you might question whether you are ovulating regularly. i don't want to be mean! but that is just what i think.
