I have been pregnant 4 times this past year. 2 m/c and 2 chemical pregnancies. I think I am pregnant again. However....I have tested and ALL have come back BFN. My AF is due on 9/13. So I am not late yet...and of course there is always the possibility I am not pregnant. :( I guess I am just wondering why on the other 4 I got a bfp about now. Why does it vary..anyone know?

every pregnancy is different... the hpt's test for a hormone called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. It isn't your body that produces the homone , but the placenta that produces it. And, since the placentas are different for each conception, you could a__sume that the rate at which they produce HCG is different. Also, it takes time for the levels of HCG to build up in your bloodstream high enough that your kidneys start to filter it into your urine. The filtration rate of your kidneys is dependent on a lot of factors including diet, amount of fluid intake, current health, physical activity, etc. I hope that this helps you. I wish you the best.
