My Situation

Hi, I just found this site and it looks like a great place for support. I am 8 weeks pregnant and have been married for 3 months. My husband and I are very young (21 and 20). He doesn't want any children now and told me I either have to get an abortion or he's leaving me (well actually I am the one who has to go). I have always been pro-life and after much contemplation, I realized that this must be happening for a reason and I can't believe I even thought for a second about abortion. I love my baby already even through it's only been 2 months since I've been pregnant. Anywayze, I am going to be moving out soon, I am very sad, thinking about all the good times we have had, but I am trying to think of how much better this will be. I feel like I will never meet someone else though who will accept me and my baby and the fact that I was divorced at 21 years old. I still haven't told my family, but I know they will let me move back home. They are the best parents I could ever ask for. However I do have 3 younger siblings, so there isn't really any room for me, but I know they will make room. Anywaze, any advice would be great.. I just feel so sad.

I think you are making the right choice. I am on my 3rd pregnancy and for some reason each pregnancy I have done alone...which I will fore warn you is a long haul...but it is very possible, and I am glad each time that I was able to hold my baby in my arms. He may change..I've seen some instances where they do and I hope that this is one of them...but if he doesnt you just have to remember that he is the losing out..not once, but twice.

Well stated Christine! He is the one losing out. I am 19 weeks pregnant and my boyfriend and I broke up a week ago. I KNOW this baby has something planned for his or her life. You made the right choice not to terminate the pregnancy, in my opinion anyway. Your baby may go on to cure cancer or bring world peace or who knows what else!! It will not be easy, but having your baby with you will help ease your pain. Good luck in the future!

It brings tears to my eyes reading all the wonderful support we women are giving each other here. Its fantastic to know we are so strong and to see so many women finding something great in motherhood, with or without a man's support. Go Girls... We'll come out the winners in the end!!! :-)
