So Conflicted

My bf and just broke up and I recently found out that I'm pregnant. We already went thru 1 abortion 2gether and I said I would never hav another 1. I feel so much freer without him. He wasn't horrible but it was a very stressful 3-year relationship. He says he's not ready for kids and I can't see myself having 2 deal with him 4 the rest of my life. I'm working but he's still in college and won't be able to help me (financially) for several years. I never really thought of myself as the motherly type and I figure if I'm going to hav an abortion that's pretty much saying that I never want kids since I'm 29 yrs. old. He's only 21 and he acts like it!

Leslie please let this sink in...you may find that you are more motherly then you think. He will have to give you child support, it will come out of his check. If you come to the point and you relize you don't wanna have kids, thats fine...slot of people don't want kids and are happy. If you consider adoption, find a good agency but don't make up your mind now...I think you should go on with your preg and you can always look for a family to adopt you baby later, as you can see there are lots of families that want to adopt, you will have your pick. You can do an open adoption so you know how your child is doing. We have an almost three year old and we stay in touch with his birthmother. We found her through an agency after the baby was born. If you are around NY, the name is spence chapin...they are wonderful and you can trust them. Keep us posted, good luck!!!

You do NOT have to go to an angency. You can adopt to a couple of your choice. It can be a friend, family, or whoever you choose. After you choose a couple they will need to hire an attorney and the attorney will walk them through the adoption.

ANOTHER SUGGESTION WOULD BE...DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE THAT YOU ARE CLOSE WITH SUCH AS FAMILY OR FRIENDS THAT WANT A CHILD BUT CAN'T HAVE ONE. YOU COULD ALWAYS HAVE SOMEONE CLOSE TO YOU ADOPT. THAT WAY YOU WILL ALWAYS KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH HIM OR HER.
