Alcohol And Pregnancy Test

My boyfriend and I have messed around quite a lot. We have had s_x without a condom only twice, but we didn't do it very long. But I have been worrying about being pregnant for about a week or two now. I was supposed to start my period about 2-3 days ago and I haven't. I have been getting some of the symptoms, like sore br___ts and mood swings. But last night I went to a party with my boyfriend and I got quite drunk. He didn't drink much, but I started talking to him about being pregnant. He was really supportive and asked if I wanted to go get a test. We went and got one and I took the test as soon as I got home. I was still a little drunk when I took the test. The test faintly showed the negative sign, and I was curious if the alcohol in my urine messed up the test any.

Do you mean faintly showed the positive sign? If it did, then it's positive. Alcohol doesn't affect pregnancy tests, pregnancy hormone does. If you are I would suggest you go see a Dr. or Planned Parenthood ASAP and figure out what you want to do. Alcohol, as I'm sure you know, causes miscarriage and major birth defects...if you keep drinking and decide to keep the baby or give it up for adoption. GL

Lacey, I'm confused. It always shows a single line, it's when the second line shows up you are pregnant. So if 2 lines showed up, you are. If only one line showed up and it was super faint, then you might have had a dud test and should double-check to be sure. I've never had a faint line on a negative test, only when the positive line shows up.
